JEROME CAJA: Queer Craft Night

5/31/2026

Attention Cleveland Youth Ages 11-19

Come build your own mini masterpiece. Explore the art exhibit, Jerome’s Home: A Show of Brotherly Love. Discover the legacy of radical artist and HIV advocate Jerome Caja, and most importantly find your joy in making some unique art. Bring trinkets, nail polish, and small household items to create your own Jerome-inspired art piece.

This is a QYOU (Queer Youth) workshop at the Greater Cleveland LGBT Community Center and is part of their new Bridges program. It's inspired by Jerome’s feisty, playful, creative spirit and celebrates queer artistic expression in youth.

Attendance is free! Art supplies provided (but feel free to bring your own materials to customize).

About the Programs

The QYOU (Queer Youth) Initiative  at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is a safe and affirming place for LGBTQ+ youth ages 11-19. At QYou, they work to collaborate and provide youth with a network of support and opportunities to express themselves, make new friends, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Accessing important resources, making friends, and promoting community involvement are cornerstones of the program.

The Bridges Program at The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is an all-ages, all-identities group that fosters a welcoming environment for people of any background. It unites the LGBTQ+ community through intersectional and intergenerational events, community groups, and skill-building classes.
