| ACT UP CLEVELAND: Candlelight Vigil ACT UP Cleveland is hosting a sunset candlelight vigil in honor of Long-Term HIV Survivors on June 5th at the Free Stamp (8:00-9:00 PM) next to Cleveland City Hall. As part of the Seven Days in June campaign, we'll be joining many sunset vigils across the country, celebrating and uplifting Long-Term HIV Survivors, and honoring everyone who has died because of cuts to healthcare. ACT UP Cleveland is a diverse, non-partisan group of individuals, united in anger, and committed to direct action to end the AIDS crisis. Our local chapter is in its third revival, coming together with renewed anger in spring 2025 in response to massive cuts to domestic and global HIV funding and to healthcare access for everyone. Our goal is to establish a civic expectation that health must be treated as a core governing responsibility, regardless of ideology or party.
